Standards, make products better

As a domestic first-class daily consumer goods exhibition, Yiwu Fair continues to add standard elements to achieve the perfect integration of small commodities and high standards, so that the exhibition will be renewed.

Stepping into the venue of the Yiwu Fair, "standard" has become the main element of each booth. From logo design to corporate image publicity, "standard" figures can be seen everywhere.

Highlighting the "standard" character, this year's Yiwu Fair revealed more than 1,600 booths for the core standards of participating products. The "bright" industry exhibition area has expanded from 6 industries to 9 industries last year, covering all Yiwu Fairs. It also increased from 20% last year to over 40%. In the eyes of the industry, publishing the core indicators of participating products through "bright marking" not only forces exhibitors to improve their ability to know and use the standard, but also further promotes the upgrading of products.

For more than 20 years, the Yiwu Fair has become an important platform to drive the growth and transformation of the small commodity industry, promote the export of Yiwu small commodity markets and light industrial products in Zhejiang Province, and promote the growth of foreign trade in Zhejiang Province and even the Yangtze River Delta. Taking advantage of the “Belt and Road” initiative and the new advantages of Yiwu's comprehensive reform pilot zone for international trade, this year's Yiwu Expo actively expanded overseas buyers' recruitment channels through various channels such as overseas promotion conferences, helping exhibitors to consolidate and expand their product markets cover area.

The 6th Zhejiang Provincial Zhejiang Provincial Foreign Trade Market Procurement Matchmaking Fair in Zhejiang Province was set up in Yiwu to precisely match the Yiwu Fair. At the event site, a provincial Zhejiang Provincial Market Procurement Zone was set up to showcase the quality goods of high-quality merchants in the province and Yiwu market for guests and buyers from the matchmaking to visit and purchase, further promoting domestic and foreign enterprises' economic and trade cooperation and investment, and improving Yiwu small commodities and their Market awareness and competitiveness of processed products. In addition, this year's Yiwu Fair also invited professional buyers from more than 20 overseas buyers teams, including Russia, India, Sri Lanka, and Cameroon, to visit and purchase.

In fact, the high popularity of Yiwu market is not only reflected in the exhibition.

Since the first generation of small commodity markets quietly opened in 1982, Yiwu has gone through five generations of market changes. Now, with the construction of the international trade comprehensive reform pilot zone, Yiwu is striding towards the sixth-generation market marked by new import markets, online and offline digital linkage, and free trade.

Take the import market as an example. As early as 2008, China Commodity City has been focusing on the new "blue ocean" of import trade and set up an import commodity trading zone. After more than ten years of cultivation and development, an imported commodity city of 100,000 square meters, with more than 100 subjects and a scale of 100,000 overseas commodities has been formed. Right now, in the west of Yiwu, the first phase of the 120,000 square meter import incubation zone is put into trial operation, which indicates that the door of the sixth-generation market developed by Yiwu has officially opened.
